Susan Wells new book A Game Called Salisbury *update*

I am correcting my posting on Susan Barringer Wells new book, A Game Called Salisbury. I had understood that it was about the last mob lynching in North Carolina. This is what Susan said:

Hey, and thanks for the publicity!
Just want to correct a couple of things:
1)This lynching in Salisbury, NC was considered the last in Rowan County. Several more of these types of atrocities occurred in NC after 1906, and there is a good chance at least one more happened in Rowan.
2) Six were actually arrested, including a 15-year-old and the wife, rumored to be pregnant, of one of the lynching victims. Three, including the child, were lynched

  1. This book is hard to put down. It is a
facinating, in depth recount of an infamous
murder and subsequent mob lynching of the
accused. A great illustration of the power
of the press to influence and inflame.
It is a non fiction who dun it written with flawless research and a genuine search for justice. A must read.
