We just got back from having a wonderful meal at Maestro Bar & Bistro in Pineville NC, just outside Charlotte. The meal was incredible. I had heard that the chef, a graduate of the Culinary Institute and a former chef at Pewter Rose, was famous for his soups and had won awards for his desserts. Now I know why. I am on a diet, so to try the dessert, I had a cup of soup and a salad. The potato soup was the best I have had. I am not a salad person, but the salad was delicious. The chocolate torte dessert was incredible. Some friends of ours had lunch there recently and were very impressed. I highly recommend the Maestro Bar & Bistro. Please respond with your reviews.

I also just had dinner at Maestro’s in Pineville tonight. The lamb special was fabulous and the nicest I’ve every tried. The flavorable herb crust was delicate and crisp and the sauce was the perfect complement. The mashed potatoes had a hint of garlic. The presentation was beautiful with a vegetable saute of zuchinni, slivered carrots and a few spears of delicate asparagus.

The Black Forest salad with salad greens, gingersnap vinagrette, dried cherries and crunchy toasted almonds was different and wonderful.

Of course, i had to try the dessert and was delighfully surprised by the creme brulee. The golden glazed coating was nicely done, and it was creamy and delicate. This was served with two sauces artfully displayed around the plate that tasted like passion fruit and raspberry. What a great combination of flavors! Served with a dollop of whip cream, this was one of the best I’ve had.

Can’t wait to try more of their dishes! I’ll be back.
