Southpark Mall deck collapse Charlotte NC
Southpark Mall in Charlotte NC experienced a section of parking deck collapse today. The section, approx 30 by 15 feet was apparently caused by a woman driver panicking and driving her car at a high of speed into a concrete section on the third floor. The impact caused the section to collapse onto the second floor. The driver died on the way to the hospital. At 1:30 EST, there are no reports of any other injuries or structural damage.
